AMG EXPERT REVIEW: Sound researcher Michel Bayan combines his love for music with scientific research into the properties of sound on the human body. He has a series of five Collage albums for the purpose of relaxation (Collage III is not available) and Collage VI: Uplifters for a shot of energy. Best of Collage samples from the relaxation albums. Included are pieces from classical composers like Allesandro Marcello, Joaquin Rodrigo, and Bizet as well as modern New Age composers Kitaro and Vangelis. Although Bayan did not test the order of compilation for their relaxing effects, the individual pieces are well worth checking out. Orchestration includes chamber orchestra, cello, flute, English horn and oboe, classic guitar, piano, harpsichord, and synthesizer. Bayan created most of the arrangements. — Carol Wright
